Sofia Albertina Church in Landskrona 5/11/25 (part two)

Here are some more photographs of the interior of the wonderful Sofia Albertina Church in Landskrona.

Sofia Albertina Church in Landskrona 5/11/25 (part one)

I have been wanting to get into this church with my 14mm f2.8 for a while now and finally got to go. I wasn't disappointed, the church is a real gem, beautiful to photograph and like many of these places of worship it has a calm peacefulness about it. You can read more about the church on Wikipedia here: Sofia Albertina Church.

All photos were taken hand held on a Nikon D850 with the fantastic 14mm f2.8 or the 50mm f1.8 attached, some editing was done in DxO PL6, mainly just colour, contrast, noise removal and sharpening.

Some B&W's from My Walk Today (part two)

Yes, more. 😋

Some B&W's from My Walk Today (part one)

Went for an after lunch walk today, mostly to get into and photograph the big church downtown, but something was up there so I went for a little walk and took these. Because the light was just dim, grey and flat I ended up converting them to b&w which look much better than the colour versions.

A Few More Around Town

While I was out and about on my bicycle on Friday evening I took several other random pics around town, five of which I will post here. I really like our town and I admire what a great job the town council does to keep it looking as beautiful as it does.

Nikon D850, Nikkor 24-120mm f4 lens, hand held, aperture priority, auto ISO, processed in DxO PL 8.

Water Tower in Landskrona (yet again)

Whenever you are in Landskrona one of the dominating features is the water tower down near the beach and harbour area. I have photographed it many many times but somehow I'm always drawn to capturing it just... one... more... time... 😋

Photos hand held as usual, D850 and 24-120mm lens, processed in DxO PL 8.

Landskrona Citadel After Sunset

The Landskrona Citadel is a much photographed landmark here in the small Swedish town of Landskrona in southern Sweden, but by far the best time to photograph it (according to me) is a little after sunset. It is well lit by tungsten lights which light up the red brick walls in a glowing red that just doesn't present as well during daylight hours.

I took these hand held with my trusty D850 and the Nikon 24-120mm f4 lens, processed in DxO PhotoLab 8.

Lock Stock and Barrel Restaurant on Halfmånen Beach

Every year on Halfmånen Beach in Landskrona they set up a temporary restaurant for the duration of summer, this year it is called the Lock Stock and Barrel Restaurant. It seems to be quite popular, though I confess I have never actually eaten there.

As is my habit I took some photos there while out on a late evening cycle around town.

Quiet Streets of Landskrona

Landskrona isn't exactly a hive of activity after dark. These were taken early on a Saturday evening when most other towns are buzzing. 😀

All taken with the D850 and the 24-120mm lens hand held and processed in DxO PL6.

Bokhandel Landskrona

Taken out side the Bokhandel (book store) in downtown Landskrona looking towards the main town square and old city hall.

Nikon D850, Nikon 24-120mm f4, @ 24mm, f8.0, 1/200s, iso 8000, hand held, processed in DxO PL 6.

Landborgspromenaden (part 2)

The Landborgspromenaden is a hike/walk in the southern Swedish province of Skane through the town of Helsingborg going from north to south. There is a map of the route available online, just click here.

Recently a friend asked if I would like to join him on the walk so we packed our lunch into a backpack and hit the road & it turned out to be a wonderful walk through wooded and park areas that run through Helsingborg and includes several places of historical interest along the way.

I have split the the photos I took along the way into two posts, part one is mostly just the nature scenes and part two includes human aspects like buildings.
