Lock Stock and Barrel Restaurant on Halfmånen Beach

Every year on Halfmånen Beach in Landskrona they set up a temporary restaurant for the duration of summer, this year it is called the Lock Stock and Barrel Restaurant. It seems to be quite popular, though I confess I have never actually eaten there.

As is my habit I took some photos there while out on a late evening cycle around town.

Saxtorpssjöarna

My wife and I recently discovered a beautiful little lake not too far from where we live and considering that we have lived here for almost 12 years it came as a bit of a pleasant surprise. I took a bike ride yesterday and stopped by for a photo or two. Here is my favourite of the day.

Nikon D850 and 50mm f1.8, my favourite lens/camera combo ever.

Landborgspromenaden (part 2)

The Landborgspromenaden is a hike/walk in the southern Swedish province of Skane through the town of Helsingborg going from north to south. There is a map of the route available online, just click here.

Recently a friend asked if I would like to join him on the walk so we packed our lunch into a backpack and hit the road & it turned out to be a wonderful walk through wooded and park areas that run through Helsingborg and includes several places of historical interest along the way.

I have split the the photos I took along the way into two posts, part one is mostly just the nature scenes and part two includes human aspects like buildings.

Öresund Sunset

Sunsets in Landskrona are often a marvelous affair with beautifully saturated warm reds and yellows lighting up the town and bathing it in a romantic hue. These were taken to the north of the town in the Citadel area just by the Öresund Strait between Sweden and Denmark. As usual I used the D850 with the wonderful 50mm f1.8G lens attached, and as always hand held. I set the exposure mode to highlight priority when shooting sunsets.

Smygehuk

Smygehuk is a small harbour and fishing village more well known as the southern most point of Sweden. Here are just a few pics from down south.

The southern most place one can stand on dry land and still be in Sweden.
